Team-based lactation support is critical to assisting families who desire to breastfeed. At NFP, we provide lactation support during our newborn visits so the families who desire to breastfeed get off to a strong start and meet their goals.

NFP is committed to supporting families in meeting their infant feeding goals. Nationally, most families attempt to breastfeed in the hospital but struggle to continue when they are home. NFP provider lactation support during the time just after the baby’s birth and beyond supports families as they navigate the experience of feeding human milk.

Free Breastfeeding Basics classes every other month to start the conversation about breastfeeding before delivery. Research shows this type of support, coupled with support just after a baby’s birth (postpartum) is crucial in helping families meet their infant feeding goals.

The support we provide is not about pressuring people to breastfeed. It gives families enough information and options to make an informed decision about how they want to feed their infants.

Pre-screened and accepted donors will be notified to drop off their milk. People must call the Ohio Mother’s Milk Bank FIRST to go through the process of becoming a donor. They can contact the milk bank at: (614) 566.0630 to begin the process or email [email protected].

Donors can drop off their milk anytime between 9 a.m. -4 p.m., Monday – Friday at the Ann B. Reichsman Community Health Center at 3545 Ridge Road in Cleveland.

We will have trained staff at our location to accept, store and mail the breast milk back to the bank.
