Cleveland’s Federally Qualified Health Centers – Neighborhood Family Practice, The FreeMedical Clinic of Cleveland, Care Alliance Health Center and Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (NEON) and Asian Services in Action (ASIA); safety net providers, The MetroHealth System and the Cleveland Department of PublicHealth; along with community partners and local sponsors including the GEFoundation are marking National Health Center Week 2015 (NHCW) on Tuesday, August 11 with Cleveland Celebration: Medicaid Works as part of a weeklong campaign (August 9-15) to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments of America’s Health Centers. The national celebration comes on the heels of new data that shows health centers now serve over 24 million people (or one in 14 Americans) as the largest and most successful system of primary healthcare.

The Cleveland event will feature an address by keynote speaker Randall D. Cebul, MD, FACP, Director and CEO, Better HealthPartnership. Cleveland Celebration: Medicaid Works will highlight the successes and achievements of the localCleveland Health Centers and safety net providers in reducing health disparities and improving health outcomes.
