Jean Polster, RN, MS, president and chief executive officer of Neighborhood Family Practice (NFP), announced today the promotion of Laurel Domanski Diaz to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Effective immediately, Domanski Diaz will assume additional responsibility including helping to shape the strategy for the Federally Qualified Health Center that serves more than 18,000 patients annually via five community health centers located on the near west side of Cleveland.

Domanski Diaz joined NFP in 2007, working on fund development and community relations. In 2009, she took on additional responsibilities and was later named vice president of operations. In that role, she has worked to ensure NFP meets the it’s Triple Aim goal of providing high quality care, excellent customer service and effective and efficient care delivery.

“Laurel has played an integral role in the rapid growth NFP has experienced over the past several years, including the opening of additional health center locations and expansion of the diverse array of health care services we offer to our patients,” says Polster. “It is with complete confidence that I announce Laurel’s promotion to her new role, where she will continue to oversee the operations of our community health centers while adding her expertise and insight into shaping our strategy to ensure that NFP is well-positioned to continue to meet the health care needs of our patients both now and into the future.”

Domanski Diaz earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Dayton, and her master’s degree in non-profit organizations from Case Western Reserve University. She has worked for non-profit health care and international service organizations since 1999.
