Jean Polster, RN, MS, president and chief executive officer of Neighborhood Family Practice (NFP), announced the appointment of Michelle R. Curry to the position of Vice President of Human Resources & Chief Diversity Officer. In this position, Michelle will serve as a strategic business partner in developing and leading NFP’s human resources department and help to develop and oversee NFP’s overarching vision, strategic direction and diversity, equity and inclusion program.
“Michelle brings more than 20 years of experience in service to diverse populations to NFP. Her background and expertise are a perfect fit with our staff, our patients and our community outreach efforts,” says Polster.
Prior to joining NFP, Michelle was the executive director of Merrick House – a Cleveland neighborhood center serving Tremont and surrounding areas – where individuals of all ages are enriched through active, lifelong learning. In that role, she was responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of all programs.
Over the course of her professional career, Michelle also worked as the director of early learning programs and a human resources administrator for Catholic Charities Corporation; as an assistant auditor for the State of Ohio, Office of the Auditor, Performance Audit Division; and as a personnel specialist and budget analyst for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority.
Michelle earned her bachelor of arts in communications and masters of public administration degrees from Cleveland State University.
